Despite a winter storm, Shirley Gryczuk and Dave Filson drove to Washington, D.C. to attend the national eXtension launch February 21 and 22, 2008. Dr. Joe Wysocki, National Program Leader, Housing and Indoor Environments, USDA-CSREES, joined them to make a trio representing EDEN's Disaster Issues Community of Practice during the two-day event. He is advisor to the community.
Several representatives from national organizations involved with disasters visited the display and discussed possible professional connections, and indicated an interest in learning more about EDEN.
