Energy Drinks Learning Lesson

The Self-Learning segments provide an in-depth look at important topics within each of the Families, Food, and Fitness areas. What are energy drinks?
The term energy drinks refers to beverages that contain caffeine in combination with other ingredients such as guarana and other vitamins and minerals. These category of drinks are purported to provide its consumers with extra energy. This term was created by companies in the beverage industry and is not recognized by the United States Food and Drug Administration or the United States Department of Agriculture.

New drinks are entering the market all the time. It is nearly impossible to learn specifics about every product, but we CAN understand some of the key ingredients and concerns regarding these beverages.

In this lesson, you will:
