Peanut Combines

Steps in using a peanut combine:

1. The peanut combine uses diggers, located on the front, to dig up the peanuts from the ground.

2. Peanuts are then taken to large threshing cylinders. These threshing cylinders separate the foreign matter (vines and dirt) from the peanut.

3. Peanuts are then taken to a shaker pan which is located beneath the threshing cylinders. The shaker pan removes more dirt and debris.

4. The peanuts are stored in the shaker pan until they are taken to another storage facility.

5. The shaker pan then measures the mass of peanuts that have been harvested. This lets the farmer know how much money he will make when he sells the peanuts.
