LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- Parents Go First™ is a new program offered by University of Nevada Cooperative Extension. The first class in the series will be presented on Saturday, February 16, 2008 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Children look to their parents and caregivers to learn how to be in the world. This program builds on the idea that changes by one member in the family influences all family members. Parents Go First™ is designed to help parents explore and understand some of their own internal limitations, belief systems, prohibitions and conflicts that are fundamental to parenting practices.

Parents Go First™ classes are free and will be held at Cooperative Extension’s Lifelong Learning Center, located at 8050 S. Maryland Parkway (I-215 and Windmill Lane).
