Growth regulators are an effective way to keep your yard fire ant free, says a Louisiana State AgCenter entomologist.

BATON ROUGE, La. -- Growth regulators are an effective way to keep your yard fire ant free, says LSU AgCenter entomologist Dr. Dale Pollet. Althought these baits break down after 48 hours, Pollet says that short period of time is OK, since fire ants will gather the bait quickly.
