Heart Bar Shoe

The heart bar shoe is used to transfer weight from the wall, where weight is normally borne, to the frog temporarily while the wall area is healing. The front or toe part of the wall is damaged or injured in laminitis. The heart bar shoe can transfer weight from the toe to the frog and allow the toe to heal. The frog should be visible all the way around the heart bar shoe there is no chance for the heart bar to put any pressure on the sole or bar region of the foot.
