I want to create a dry paddock for my horses. What should I use for the ground? I put some "crusher run" gravel down, but it hasn't compacted like I hoped and I'm constantly fighting stones. Is sand a better material? Is there some sort of formula to mix gravel dust with sand?? I have a horse that foundered last spring and I want to keep her off the pasture for most of the day, but only have a run in shed. No stall. My paddock connects to my run in shed, but was getting so muddy--thus I tried the gravel.... Help! Thanks.
