Adding Titles, Descriptions, Tagging, and Licensing Photos
- Titles: Add a title by clicking above the picture. Titles describing the photos are best. If you upload photos from your camera with a generic number, you can replace them with a more descriptive title, such as "DSU, Doe County Master Gardeners at State Fair."
- Descriptions: Add descriptions to your photo by clicking directly below the photo. You can add as little or as much information about the picture as Flickr allows. You can include the web address to information relevent to your picture, such as extension.org/horticulture or your local Master Gardener Web site.
- Tags: Add tags to your pictures with relevant information so others can easily find them by category. See this picture for an example of tagging: Master Gardeners - Planting Rain Garden. Hint: Look for tags on the right hand side of the page.
- Copyright Licenses: Set your permissions and licensing information for your photos by clicking on the "edit" link under the additional information section by your photo. For multiple images, go to the "Organize menu" (top of page), select the "all your content" drop down option. Next, drag your photos onto the workspace, then click on the "Permissions" option under the main tab to select your licensing and permissions options.
Since these pools are for sharing, we suggest using some sort of Creative Commons license that allow sharing for educational purposes.
