AMES, Iowa -- There’s a new online source in Iowa for crop production news. It is the Integrated Crop Management (ICM) news Web site at http://www.extension.iastate.edu/cropnews. The site replaces the print-based version of the Integrated Crop Management newsletter.
“This online source for crop production news and information provides greater access to Iowa State University Extension resources and enhances the timeliness of information farmers need to make decisions about crop production,” said Gerald A. Miller, associate dean, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and director, Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension.
Some of the new features of the site include:
- Weekly or daily e-mail notification of new articles
- Quick access to crop production sites at Iowa State University
- Easy-to-print single articles and weekly compilations
- Timely advice on how to deal with rapidly changing crop and weather conditions
“This Web site will build upon the reputation that the Integrated Crop Management Newsletter developed over the past 19 years. We want Iowa crop producers and ag professionals to turn to ICM News first for the latest research-based crop production information in Iowa,” said Miller.
Those who would like to register for daily or weekly e-mail updates can do so by going to: http://www.extension.iastate.edu/CropNews/Subscribe.htm. Questions and comments about the site may be e-mailed to cropnews@iastate.edu.
