Is Injecting Cows with a Growth Hormone Environmentally Friendly?

Cornell University animal nutritionist is co-author of the study.

According to a study published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences USA, if U.S. farmers injected their dairy cows with bovine growth hormone, it would take just 843,000 cows to produce the same amount of milk as one million untreated animals, saving tons of feed and acres of cropland.
