Short Biography

Dr. Martinson received her BS in Agronomy from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and her Masters and PhD in Weed Science for the University of Minnesota.

She has worked for the University of Minnesota Extension Service since 2001, and is currently the Equine Extension Specialist.

Her specializations include equine forage management (pasture and hay), weed control, and poisonous plants. Her research interests include improving equine forage management, weed control, and poisonous plants.

Dr. Martinson also breeds, trains and shows Foundation Quarter Horses.
