Hello, I live in Sparks in an older home. I have a huge globe willow tree in the backyard, shading most of the lawn. My lawn continues to get thinner and thinner every year, and am now getting several bare spots. I don't mow it short. What can I put on it, to thicken it up and make it healthier? I can't invest a lot of money into it and can't replace it. What are your suggestions? Thank you for your time. Marlene

I live in Washington DC and need help with understanding how to rejuvenate my lawn this spring after the drought we had last summer. I will be attempting to take on managing my lawn care and maintenance on my own. So I can really use your input to help me understand in what order should I reseed, and fertilize, put down lime, grub control, de-thatch and aerate my lawn? Additionally your recommendation tools - battery operated lawn mower versus a gas powered one, drop spreader versus whirly one. By the way, my lawn is approx 5,000 sq ft
