There was one set of residents New Orleans didn’t want back after the hurricanes – red imported fire ants.

BATON ROUGE, La. -- Last year, Louisiana State University AgCenter entomologist Linda Hooper-Bui and the city’s mosquito and termite control board made a push to get the city fire ant free.
