The rack is flashy, faster, more exaggerated four beat walk performed by the American Saddlebred and the Tennessee Walking Horse. Each foot meets the ground independently of each other. The rack has more up and down motion or animation of the front limbs then that of the running walk. In addition, the hind foot does not overreach the front foot like the running walk.
