Radiometric resolution refers to the sensitivity the sensor has for recording variations in the electromagnetic spectrum. Higher values mean that more subtle appearance changes in the image can be detected. Radiometric resolution can be measured in bits (e.g., 8 bits) or in levels (e.g., 0 to 256).
