Russellville to Host Arkansas 2009 Beef IQ Program

Each session deals with a specific topic related to beef production: Genetics, Reproduction, Herd Health, Economics, Forage Management, and Nutrition.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - January 9 is the deadline to sign up for the 2009 Beef IQ program being offered by extension educators with the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture.

The six-session program is an in-depth training program for cattle production and management. Each session is seven hours.

The 2009 sessions are all scheduled for Mondays: February 23, March 16, May 18, July 20, September 21, and October 26.

Each session deals with a specific topic related to beef production: Genetics, Reproduction, Herd Health, Economics, Forage Management, and Nutrition.

This year’s program will be held in Russellville, in cooperation with Arkansas Tech University.

The registration fee for the program is $100 per person or $150 per couple. The registration fee includes meals and resource materials for all six sessions. For more information, contact your county extension office or sign up by calling (501) 671-2177.
