Manganese deficiency can be identified in the field by observing newly emerging leaves that are chlorotic (yellow) with veins that remain green. Foliar applications of Mn may be warranted based on symptoms and soils analyze. Soil testing will identify Mn deficiency prone soils.
Rarely are soybeans truly deficient without showing foliar symptomology.
