Walking Down The Hall

In order to effectively talk to your health provider about your medications, you need to tell him or her about ALL of the prescription and non-prescription medications you are already taking. Also, there are some important questions that you will want him or her to answer while you're in the office. Write these questions down ahead of time, leaving room under each one so you can write the answer and read that answer back to your health provider to make sure you got the information down correctly.

The following lesson from NIH Senior Health, National Institutes of Health, may help you better understand how to talk to your health provider about your medications and safely manage them: nihseniorhealth.gov/takingmedicines/toc.html.
