If you are a technical service provider (TSP) with USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) and you also belong to the Certified Crop Advisers or American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists, then submit your webcast attendance to those organizations. Agreements worked out between the TSP program and CCA or ARPAS means that you should follow their instructions to ensure your education is properly credited.

Certification Categories

Livestock and Poultry Environmental Learning Center webcasts will typically be appropriate for TSPs certified in one of more of the following areas:

  • Nutrient Management(590)
  • Feed Management (592)

How Do I Obtain CEU Credit?

TSPs attending a live webcast should:

  1. Request a copy of the attendance list and webcast flyer from the LPE Learning Center project manager. The attendance list includes the time a user logged into the virtual meeting room and the time they logged out.
  2. Submit the information to your state coordinator and include the certification category(ies) for which you are requesting credit. Note: The TSP program is administered on a state-by-state basis by NRCS state coordinators. These coordinators ultimately make the judgment on whether a webcast qualifies for CEUs in the requested category.

TSPs viewing an archived webcast need to be members of the CCA program or ARPAS to receive credit. We do not currently have a mechanism to verify attendance for those outside of those organizations. TSPs should click on the following link, as appropriate, and follow the instructions for receiving credit for archived webcasts.

Frequently Asked Questions

I Am Not Yet Certified As a TSP. Will These Webcasts Count Toward Initial Certification?

No. You need to follow the process outlined in the links to additional information provided above. Once you are a registered TSP, the webcasts (with the approval of your state TSP coordinator) can be counted

I Am a Registered TSP in More Than One State. Do I Need to Submit Webcast Attendance to Each State Coordinator?

Yes, unless you are a member of a national professional organization that has a current memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the NRCS TSP program (such as CCA or ARPAS). In that case, you should follow the procedures developed by that organization in order to ensure your certification is handled properly.
