Vector (spatial)

Vector is a method of representing features on a map with x and y coordinates. Features can be points, lines, or polygons. Vector data is often compared to Raster Data (which is data represented entirely by individual pixels). Vector data can be thought of as objects while raster data can be thought of as images.
