A Louisiana State AgCenter entomologist says insecticides can give you immediate results in eliminating fire ants, but growth regulators will give you longer-lasting results.

BATON ROUGE, La. -- Now is the ideal time to treat for fire ants. LSU AgCenter entomologist Dr. Dale Pollet says insecticides can give you immediate results, but growth regulators will give you longer-lasting results.
