  10. I recently rented some additional pasture, which has several pine trees. None of my other pastures have pine trees. I want to know more about pine needle poisoning and/or abortions. Is this a problem only with Ponderosa pines? Is there a seasonality to the problem, such as fall or winter? If the cattle have plenty to eat, is it still a problem? What else do I need to know?   11. I just bought a heifer calf that is very small for her age. She was born in April to an old cow who didn't produce enough milk to feed her. She was put with a cow that had lost her calf. She was weaned early and put out with the older heifers. She weighs about 250 lb. I am wondering if she will ever catch up weight-wise, or will she always be stunted?   15. We have a horse that just had a foal. All of a sudden, we noticed that she will not gain any weight and her left hind end is collapsed.   23. The six-year-old dressage mare with which we are working has started to exhibit possible signs of cycling when under saddle. She kicks out when my daughter puts her leg on for the left bend and occasionally backs up in the midst of riding as if she's "had enough." With persistence, she has worked through these spots.
